Cutaway illustration examples

These illustrations show two classical illustration techniques:-

At top, ghosted (or phantom) cutaway, and below, a partially sectioned cutaway (conventional red sectioned areas) where only certain parts of the subject have been sectioned. This done to emphasise certain parts of the subject - in this case - the bulb, the reflector profile, the batteries, connectors and switch.
