Maxtor ATA133 PCI Card

Comments:

A fairly complex commission from quite a few years back, but nonetheless worth presenting. This was a direct commission from Maxtor (now part of Seagate Technology LLC). I believe some of the artwork was used in marketing collateral and packaging material. The only brief was for absolute realism, as I believe the actual product was not ready in time. All the artwork was completed in a week (from engineering drawings) and was approved first time round!

Description:

The Maxtor ATA133 PCI Card used the Promise-PDC20269 chipset. Bus Interface: PCI bus 32 bit

Features:

• Compliant with UltraDMA6 ATA/133 specifications
• Compliant with PCI v2.2 Plug-n-Play
• Provides two independent Ultra ATA channels
• Supports Ultra DMA 0-6 and Multi-word DMA 0-2
• Supports hard drives larger than 137GB
• Achieves burst data transfer rates up to 133MB/sec
• Works with various brand of Ultra ATA 133/100/66/33 hard disk drives
• Supports Windows® 2000, XP (Drive can be fund website if needed)

System Requirements:

• Pentium-class computer with an available PCI slot
• Windows® 2000, XPCPU is 32-bit RISC-based ARM710T processor running at 18MHz (Series 5) or 36MHz (5mx), with 4, 8 or 16MB of RAM.
